 Lackierte Buddhas, auch als Pappmaché bezeichnet, sind einzigartig. Normalerweise sehr groß, aber leicht und oft mit einer dem Besitzer gewidmeten Inschrift. Einige der attraktivsten und schönsten Bilder Myanmars sind in Lack gefertigt, da sie jedoch zerbrechlich sind, sind nur wenige ohne Restaurierungen.

    Extremely rare standing Mandalay Buddha in red lacquer with gilt. Original stone inlay all over. Standing on a large elephant throne covered with leaves and on top a bird. Again, stone inlay all over.  A inscription on the back stating the age to be 103 years old. In a good condition compared to the age, with some crackers and dents and a very small missing part of the throne..
