Beautiful and classic standing Bangkok Buddha in bronze from Thailand, dating to the 19th century. The figure features a fine patina and many original details.
This Buddha statue stands on a multi-tiered lotus throne, a traditional feature in Thai Buddhist art.
The figure is partially gilt with remaining traces of gilding and decorative inlays on the robe.
The Buddha is depicted in a blessing gesture, sometimes referred to as a pose symbolically “holding back floods”.
The parasol holder, feet, and small holes in the base have been restored. Despite this, the overall impression remains very strong, and the figure is in very good condition with a well-preserved top.
With a height of 45 cm, this is a characterful Buddha figure from Thailand.
An excellent choice for collectors seeking a standing Bangkok Buddha with authenticity and history.
