Larger foodtiffinbox (with tray inside and a cup on top). Woven bamboo strips, over which the lacquer is applied and the smoothed, decorated with elephants and then polished. A very nice piece in a good condition.

Richly decorated food container crafted in bamboo and lacquer with decorative elephant motifs.
The container features a practical cup on top as well as an internal divider. Elephants form a large part of the decoration, contributing to its authentic character.
Remains in very fine condition and represents a fine example of Burmese lacquer work from the mid 20th century.
