Very large and exceptionally well-preserved Mandalay Buddha crafted in lacquer, seated on a traditional lotus throne. The figure appears in brownish and gilded tones in the classic "calling earth to witness" posture.
The Buddha features a finely shaped face with painted hair and is richly adorned with green and white stones on the robes, demonstrating detailed craftsmanship.
The figure remains in perfect condition and represents an excellent example of Burmese lacquer work from the 20th century.
