Bronze Buddha 146
Beautiful sitting bronze Buddha from Burma. Dressed lige a prince, this classical Jambupati Buddha is sitting on a large throne in a "calling the earth to witness" posture. His slightly oval face has a serene expression and at the top rises the very large usnisa (flame). Finely incised chest necklace and leaf motifs. The ears are going all the way down to the shoulders. The Buddha has reddark brown patina and a inscription on front and back of the throne. The Buddha is in mint condition.
